Role Overview

This is a great opportunity to lead the department, manage complex transactional work, and develop strong client relationships. You will help steer the growth of the team, mentor junior lawyers, and play a key role in business development. The firm is focusing on expanding their commercial law services, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, etc. This role offers an excellent chance to gain skills, contribute to the growth of a long-established and forward-thinking firm, and demonstrate experience in strategic marketing and networking to attract high-quality clients. The candidate should be commercially aware, client-focused, and actively participate in marketing, article drafting, PR, business development, social media, and networking activities.

Requirements

• Qualified Senior Solicitor / Associate with at least 4-5 years relevant experience
• Proven leadership and business development skills to support departmental growth
• Strong technical background and commercial awareness, with experience in company commercial law, including buying and selling businesses
• Experience in preparing sale and purchase agreements and other complex legal documents
• Good knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and contract law
• Ability and willingness to manage workload efficiently and meet client demands
• Enthusiastic with a good balance of technical ability and commercial awareness
• Ambitious, dynamic, and excellent communication skills
