Job Description:

Blair West is supporting a leading Wealth Management firm to find a Head of Communications. The company is one of the UK’s largest Chartered financial planning firms, supporting clients through its national network of advisers. This is a senior appointment reporting directly to the Group's executive leadership and marks a newly created role to support the continued growth and evolution of the brand across multiple divisions.

The opportunity:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the company's communication and messaging strategy, spanning video, audio, written content, and digital assets.
  • Build and execute high-impact campaigns to enhance public trust and elevate the brand’s national presence.
  • Support the launch of new propositions, creating tailored content across divisions including Private Client, Investment Management, and Mineral.
  • Manage and grow the media relations strategy, securing national coverage through strategic press and external communications.
  • Coordinate and deliver an Annual Report, ensuring clarity, timeliness, and brand alignment.
  • Oversee content production across industry publications, external platforms, and internal channels, ensuring message consistency.
  • Lead planning and delivery of in-person events designed to drive brand engagement and internal collaboration.
  • Deliver engaging internal updates and intranet communications to foster a cohesive and informed workplace culture.
  • Develop social media strategies to grow the B2C presence and deepen online community engagement.
  • Enhance website visibility and performance through strategic off-page SEO initiatives.

You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior communications or PR leadership role within a multi-division business or regulated sector.
  • A strong background in brand management, corporate messaging, and reputation enhancement.
  • Proven ability to manage both internal and external communication strategies across multiple platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with compliance and subject matter experts to produce accurate and engaging content.
  • A track record of delivering high-quality written materials including reports, press releases, and promotional collateral.
  • Hands-on experience managing media relations and securing high-value press coverage.
  • Strategic knowledge of social media growth techniques and audience engagement tactics.
  • Confidence in running events that contribute to brand advocacy and internal alignment.
  • Experience in SEO strategy and digital marketing tactics.
  • Strong editorial judgement and project management capability.
