Job summary

Vickerstock is recruiting a Civil Engineering Planning Lead in Newry to establish a dedicated planning function within a growing civil engineering contractor. You will own the planning process, develop robust NEC-based programmes and work directly with Directors and senior leaders to shape delivery across complex projects.

The role offers autonomy, senior stakeholder exposure and potential hybrid working as the function matures within the business.

Qualifications

• Significant planning experience within a major civil engineering contractor.
• Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining NEC programmes and NEC contractual requirements.
• Experience taking projects from tender/pre-construction through site delivery.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining detailed construction programmes for complex civil projects.
• Producing robust NEC-compliant programmes from tender through delivery.
• Establishing baseline programmes, critical paths and milestones.
• Using Primavera P6 to monitor and update programmes.
• Collaborating with Directors, project managers, site teams and commercial managers.
