Are you a senior level Civil and/or Structural Engineer looking for a permanent role and the opportunity to join a well-established multi-disciplinary design consultancy consisting of Chartered Surveyors, Architects, Design Engineers, Structural and Civil Engineers at a period of expansive growth and success?

A background in structural and civil engineering is required, and the Client is open to previous industry knowledge that can be transferred to working on projects within the built environment. In this role, you will be working primarily on Government and MOD buildings/projects, and you WILL be required to hold Security Clearance (not necessary to start).

Offices in Portsmouth and Monmouth are available; you will be working within the Engineering team providing professional solutions to construction problems. Working at a 'Head of' level, you will have responsibility for driving the division forward and mentoring a talented pool of engineers. Location should not be a restriction as you can be based out of either office, and flexible/hybrid working options will be discussed should they be required.

There is a wide range in terms of salary and it will depend on your level of experience. Ideally, you will already be Chartered (ICE or StructE) or working towards Chartership.

Below is a general (but not exhaustive) overview of the role. A bonus scheme is in place with the opportunity to grow and develop with funded learning. Immediate starts are available for the right candidates.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop scheme designs as required by the Directors, Principal and Senior engineers, using appropriate software.
• Assist in the delivery of projects within timescale, budget constraints, and quality expectations.
• Work with CAD Technicians to produce relevant structural information.
• Undertake structural engineering analysis and design under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Attendance at project and design meetings and site visits.
• Undertake condition surveys and write reports.
• Keep all project-related documentation in compliance with the Business Management systems, processes and procedures.
• Communicate project’s critical issues in a timely manner to Directors and clients.
• Mentor graduates and technicians.
• Actively engage in CPD to maintain and facilitate personal and career development.

Candidates will ideally be Chartered with an accredited BEng Degree (or equivalent).
