Job summary
Search Consultancy is seeking a Registered Manager for a children’s residential home in Leicester (LE5). You will lead a care-focused team, ensuring high standards of safeguarding, compliance and Ofsted readiness, while delivering safe, nurturing environments for young people.
The ideal candidate will have substantial residential care experience, and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in children’s residential care.
- Registered Manager or deputy with significant leadership responsibility.
- Involvement in Ofsted inspections and improvement planning.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, home regulations and Ofsted requirements.
- Experience developing residential childcare teams.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support and develop the residential childcare team.
- Ensure safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Maintain Ofsted compliance and safeguarding standards.
- Coordinate Ofsted inspections and stay inspection-ready.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans for each child.
- Manage safeguarding concerns, risk assessments and behaviour support.
- Conduct staff supervisions and promote professional development.
- Build relationships with social workers and local authorities.
- Monitor quality of care and drive improvements.
- Promote a positive culture for children and staff.
