Job summary

V.Group is seeking a seasoned Category Manager to define and implement procurement strategies across marine supplier portfolios. You will drive Marcas supplier utilisation, develop a high-performing category team, and align objectives with business targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supply chain or commercial experience in marine industry at management/senior level.
• Proven track record developing and managing supplier agreements across multiple categories.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to build rapport with clients.
• Fluent professional English; additional languages are an advantage in an international supplier/client environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement Category Management strategies.
• Drive utilisation of Marcas suppliers from V.Ships and direct members.
• Develop category management team and performance.
• Create objectives and performance reviews linked to business unit targets.
• Report category KPIs, budget performance, tracking and reporting monthly.
• Analyse the use of suppliers and optimise the Marcas supplier portfolio.
• Conduct negotiations and onboarding; manage tendering projects.
• Complete implementation to ensure onboarding/integration; provide vendor escalation support.
