Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a Capital Finance Business Partner to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for capital and long-term maintenance projects. You will collaborate with Finance teams and budget holders across the University to improve reporting and monitoring.

You will develop insightful management information, oversee reporting suites, and chair the Capital Finance Working Group, while leading and developing the capital finance team to deliver under

Qualifications

• CCAB professional qualification or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS.
• Experience in finance within a large, complex organisation.
• Leadership of teams with strategic thinking and proactive collaboration.
• Experience in a business partnering role delivering excellent stakeholder service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review monthly capital and long-term maintenance reporting for senior committees.
• Ensure the Fixed Asset Register reconciles monthly.
• Oversee Capital budget and five-year plan balance sheet and cash flow.
• Chair the University Capital Finance Working Group meetings and participate in Capital Project committees.
• Manage staff supporting capital activity.
