Job summary

Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets in London is seeking a Head of Capital to lead the Capital Team, oversee the Internal Model (IM) development and validation, and provide actuarial input to risk and capital processes.

The role requires strong leadership, capital modelling experience, and collaboration with senior stakeholders across underwriting, finance, and risk functions. A university degree or professional qualification is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with Lloyd’s capital processes and requirements.
• Minimum three years in a senior capital role.
• Experience managing three or more staff.
• Experience interacting with and presenting to Board members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Capital Team providing oversight, leadership and management across capital and validation.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders across MRSL and Munich Re Group.
• Maintain, run and parameterise the actuarial elements of the Internal Model (IM).
• Produce information for model uses including SCR, ORSA, PRA information and reserve data.
