Role Overview:

As the Head of Buying & Merchandising, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of their luxury offerings. You will lead and manage a talented team, oversee buying and merchandising strategies, and ensure continued profitability and success across retail and online channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing buying and merchandising team, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key brand partners and suppliers to enhance product offerings and negotiate optimal terms.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve margin targets, working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure effective stock management, maintaining optimal stock levels, quick stock turnover, and minimization of aged stock.
• Plan and manage sales and stock to maximize profitability across all product categories.
• Create detailed reports providing insights on sales performance, margins, and stock levels.
• Drive margin growth by analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and consumer demand, adjusting strategies accordingly.
• Oversee seasonal buying processes and product launches, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, customer demand, and market trends.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in senior buying and merchandising roles, preferably within premium or luxury retail sectors.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal teams.
• Deep understanding of stock management, sales planning, and margin optimization.
• Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze complex reports and derive actionable insights.
• Passion for luxury brands, trends, and high-end customer expectations.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
