Job Description:

We're currently hiring for a Head of Business & Technical Architecture role focused on shaping the future of smart energy metering in the UK. The position involves influencing government, regulators, and industry stakeholders, driving innovation, and chairing key strategic committees impacting over 30 million homes and businesses.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior technology leadership role such as CTO/CPO (preferably within energy or telecoms) with experience working with and engaging customers on their needs
• A business-focused CTO or technology-focused CPO
• Demonstrable ability to operate as an effective Chair, covering technical options and priorities, considering inputs from multiple perspectives (customers and architects) and operational necessities, including replacing aging/legacy systems
• The ability to interact with and influence senior industry stakeholders with competing priorities in a structured, fair, and collaborative manner
• Senior-level experience managing product and service management technology solutions (ideally in a B2B environment)
• Outstanding communication skills to clearly explain business and technical complexities
• A strong technology background with knowledge of emerging technologies and their strategic impact on smart metering
• A detailed understanding of current and future smart metering architecture (preferable but not essential)
