Job Description:

We're currently hiring for a Head of Business & Technical Architecture role with a focus on shaping the future of smart energy metering in the UK. The role involves influencing government, regulators, and industry stakeholders, driving innovation, and chairing key strategic committees impacting over 30 million homes and businesses.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years of senior technology leadership experience such as CTO or CPO, preferably within energy or telecoms, with experience engaging with customers to understand their needs
• A business-focused CTO or a technology-focused CPO
• Proven ability to chair meetings effectively, cover technical options and priorities, incorporate inputs from various stakeholders, and consider operational needs and legacy system replacements
• Experience interacting with and influencing senior industry stakeholders with diverse priorities in a structured, collaborative manner
• Senior experience managing product and service technology solutions, ideally in a B2B environment
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex business and technical concepts
• A strong technology background with knowledge of emerging technologies and their strategic impact on smart metering
• Understanding of current and future smart metering architecture is preferred but not essential
