Colchester City Council in Colchester is seeking a Building and Technical Manager to lead the in-house Technical Services Team, delivering reactive and preventative maintenance across a diverse estate.

You will oversee building services, manage budgets, contractors and projects, and drive safety, compliance and service improvement. A full UK driving licence is required and an enhanced DBS check is necessary. Home working may be considered on occasions.

Qualifications

• HNC or NVQ4 in Building Services, Engineering, Construction or related discipline.
• IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience leading teams in technical/operational environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead an in-house team of technical and maintenance professionals.
• Deliver reactive and planned maintenance across the estate.
• Develop and manage planned preventative maintenance programmes.
• Provide technical leadership on building services, compliance and safety.
• Manage contractor relationships, budgets and projects.
