Fylde Council is seeking a Building Control Manager to lead a technical team across the borough. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff and deputise for the Service Director for Planning & Building Control.

The role offers 37 hours per week, a permanent contract, a salary of £51,928–£54,143 with a market supplement of up to £15,000, and a supportive, flexible working culture with generous pension.

Our Building Control team plays a vital role in protecting the public, supporting development, and ensuring compliance with the highest standards of building safety.

As Building Control Manager, you'll lead a team that deals with a variety of work throughout the borough. This is a technical leadership role where you'll provide technical expertise, mentor junior staff, and deputise for the Service Director for Planning & Building Control.

You'll also have the opportunity to influence service delivery and represent the council in enforcement and legal proceedings.
