Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Head of Bid Management based in the Midlands or North West with hybrid working, 37.5 hours per week. You will lead end-to-end bid activity across social housing, healthcare, education and hotels, coordinating the Bid and Estimating teams to deliver best-in-class submissions.

You will report to the Business Development Director, setting the national win strategy and driving continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder relationships,

Qualifications

• Strong track record of successful Bid Management and Proposals in the Property Maintenance Sector.
• Exceptional written communication skills.
• Commercially astute with a drive for success.
• People management experience would be desirable.
• Hold a Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end bid process for key opportunities and identify the Win Plan.
• Act as a key figure in bid/no-bid decisions and drive win probabilities.
• Innovate delivery solutions for bids and coordinate with Operations.
• Ensure bid team coordination with Operations on opportunities.
• Maintain effective communication between departments for timely bid submissions.
• Resource bid activities with operations and monitor workloads.
• Collaborate with Estimating to assess tender risk.
• Facilitate adjudication to ensure robust submissions.
• Manage post-tender activities such as presentations and clarifications.
• Provide reports to the board and identify continuous improvement.

Location: Midlands or North West based, offered hybrid working, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Our Head of Bid Management is a senior role in our business, focused on winning tenders across several sectors including social housing, healthcare, education and hotels, and several workstreams including reactive and planned maintenance, minor works, major projects and fast track fit out

Reporting into the Business Development Director, you will have overall responsibility for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the national work winning strategy, your focus will be to support the growth plans of the business by identifying a targeted plan and co-ordinating the team to collaborate. To support you, an established Business Development and Estimating team ensure we deliver the desired outputs in line with the growth strategy.

An outline of your responsibilities as a Head of Bid Management

• Ownership of the end to end Bid process for key opportunities, identifying the "Win Plan" and co-ordinating all necessary resources to produce a best in class submission
• Key figure within the bid / no bid process, judging the highest win probabilities
• Innovating the delivery solution
• Ensure the bid team work effectively with Operations on identifying bid opportunities within the marketplace
• Ensure effective communication processes between departments are in place and facilitate timely and successful bid submissions
• Work with operations teams on resourcing the completion of tender opportunities
• Manage workloads of the bid team, in conjunction with Operations requirements
• In conjunction with Estimating team ensure thorough risk assessment of tender submissions
• Facilitate adjudication process to ensure robust and commercially sound bid submissions
• Manage post-tender activities, e.g. presentations and clarifications
• Monitor bid outcomes and ensure effective b2b and internal communications
• Provide relevant reports to the company board of directors
• Identify and drive continuous improvement activities
• Develop improvement activities identified via customer feedback report
• Ensure continuous business education on bid processes and principles
• Develop systems and processes which facilitate gathering intelligence on bid activity

About You

As an experienced Head of Bid Management, you will have a strong track record of successful Bid Management and Proposals in the Property Maintenance Sector. Exceptional written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, with a drive for success. You will be commercially astute, driven by success and people management experience would be desirable. You will have strong stakeholder management skills, excellent client relationships skills and a passion for leading people. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence.
