Elevate Projects Ltd is seeking a Head of Asset Compliance to lead a multidisciplinary service across housing properties. You will steer electrical safety, domestic alarms, water hygiene, and related M&E compliance, ensuring regulatory standards and resident safety.

You will manage six to eight direct reports, shape strategy, oversee major contracts and budgets, and report to the Executive Team and Board. Hybrid working in Croydon or Sittingbourne, Kent.

Qualifications

• Experience leading asset or property compliance services in housing or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, water hygiene, domestic alarms and wider property compliance.
• Experience procuring and managing major contracts, budgets, audits, and compliance programmes.
• Proven people leadership with ability to inspire, develop and motivate teams.
• Relevant professional or academic qualification in Health & Safety, Building Services, Engineering, Surveying, Maintenance, or related field.
• CIH Level 4 housing qualification or willingness to pursue under standard requirements.
• Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites and offices.

Job Title: Head of Asset Compliance - Permanent

Salary: 97,850 - 100,940 per annum + benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking a Head of Asset Compliance to join an Asset Compliance leadership team and play a pivotal role in ensuring properties remain fully compliant, safe, and fit for the future. You will lead a substantial multidisciplinary service through six to eight direct reports.

As one of three Heads of Service within the Asset Compliance function, you will lead a specialist team responsible for electrical safety, domestic alarm safety, water hygiene, and a broad range of mechanical and electrical compliance activities. This is a strategic leadership opportunity where you will influence policy, drive innovation, manage major contracts and budgets, and provide assurance to the Executive Team and Board.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of critical compliance services across a large housing portfolio, ensuring statutory obligations are met while continually improving service quality and resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing Asset Compliance team.
• Drive compliance performance across electrical safety, domestic alarms, water hygiene, and wider M&E compliance services.
• Manage complex compliance contracts and strategic supplier relationships.

• Manage significant budgets and investment programmes, ensuring value for money and robust financial control.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including residents, contractors, regulators, and executive teams.
• Support the development and delivery of the organisation's strategy documents.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced compliance leader with a strong track record of managing asset compliance services within social housing, property, or a similarly regulated environment. You will bring:

• Significant senior-level experience leading asset or property compliance services within housing or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, water hygiene, domestic alarms, and wider property compliance.
• Experience of procuring and managing major contracts, budgets, audits, and compliance programmes.
• Proven people leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and motivate teams.
• Relevant professional or academic qualification in Health & Safety, Building Services, Engineering, Surveying, Maintenance, or a related discipline.
• A CIH Level 4 housing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one in line with the Competence and Conduct Standard requirements.
• A valid UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel between sites and offices.
