Job summary

Orbital is redefining how real estate transactions are designed, built, and trusted. Reporting to the CTO, you will shape the design agenda, lead the product design function, and scale the team across the UK and US as we grow our AI-first platform for legal professionals.

You’ll own the design strategy, partner with engineering and product, and push for clarity, explainability, and user-centric craft in every decision as Orbital expands.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading product design at a senior level in a scaling B2B tech company.
• Experience sitting at the product leadership table and influencing business decisions.
• Experience scaling a design function through high-growth phases.
• Designed AI-native products with explainability, trust, and agentic UX considerations.
• Designed for expert professional users in demanding domains.
• Strong commercial instincts; connecting design to adoption, revenue, and retention.
• Ability to translate product context into a design strategy.
• Experience leading through a design team and setting direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the product with a strategic design perspective and advocate for design-led growth.
• Influence product decisions as part of the leadership team, not in isolation.
• Set design priorities from product context, including information architecture, interaction design, and design systems.
• Define AI-native design patterns, explainability, and trust signals for complex documents and workflows.
• Build and scale the design function, mentoring the team and establishing standards.
