Syngenta is seeking a Lead, AI Enablement Technologies to orchestrate a cross-cutting AI infrastructure function within Engineering and Technology. You will own the AI platform, from HPC infrastructure and model serving to safety frameworks and governance, guiding senior engineers and partnering with data, analytics, and bioinformatics IT teams.

The role emphasizes architectural decision-making, KPI-driven performance, and scalable capability-building for R&D teams.

Qualifications

• Expert-level depth in AI infrastructure and MLOps.

Responsabilités

• Own the operational performance of the AI Enablement function across HPC, AI inference, agentic foundations, AI-assisted engineering, and AI upskilling.
• Direct line management for area leads, guiding HPC and AI specialists.
• Drive the technology roadmap for AI infrastructure, including model serving stacks and guardrails frameworks.
• Manage HPC investments, including GPU procurement and cluster lifecycle.
• Define API contracts, cost attribution models, and shared computing patterns with other IT functions.
• Own evaluation and safety framework for AI at scale, including red-teaming and model performance tracking.
• Build consensus on cross-boundary patterns and author ADRs.
• Establish KPIs for utilization, cost efficiency, and reliability across AI infrastructure.
• Develop capability-building programs on AI best practices and platform usage.
• Manage vendor relationships to optimize integration of AI infrastructure components.
