Job summary

Inference Group, a London-based hybrid AI and data engineering consultancy, seeks a Head of Delivery to lead enterprise AI and data delivery for global clients. This senior role combines delivery leadership with strong commercial acumen, guiding multidisciplinary teams and shaping our AI consulting capability.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, drive delivery excellence, and mentor engineers and consultants to production-ready outcomes that deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex technology, AI or data delivery in consulting or professional services.
• Accountability for multiple client engagements, including budgets and risks.
• Practical understanding of enterprise AI adoption and value realization.
• Ability to work with architects and engineers without coding rote duties.
• Experience bringing structure and governance to growing delivery teams.
• Commercial judgment on estimates, resources and utilisation.
• Strong engagement with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI, data and transformation programmes with governance and client satisfaction.
• Develop scalable delivery processes and operating models as the business grows.
• Manage programme planning, dependencies, risks, timelines and resource allocation.
• Provide visibility on costs, delivery performance and financial outcomes.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of AI/Data Engineers, Architects and Consultants.
• Shape and mature Inference Group’s AI delivery capability and governance.
