Job summary

Kingsley Healthcare seeks a Creative and Caring Activities Lead to head the activities and wellbeing programme in our care home, ensuring every day is full of fun, purpose and moments that matter. Reporting to the Home Manager, you’ll lead a small team of Activities Coordinators, Assistants and volunteers, tailoring a person-centred programme for residents, including those living with dementia.

You’ll work with the care team to plan diverse activities, manage the budget, build community links

Qualifications

• Experience in activities role within a care setting, with some leadership.
• Ability to plan a varied, person-centred programme for residents.
• Experience adapting activities for dementia and complex needs.
• Strong budget management and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the activities team and volunteers.
• Plan group and 1-1 activities, outings and events.
• Adapt activities for dementia and complex needs.
• Build links with local community and entertainers.
• Manage activities budget and care-plan records.
• Report to Home Manager.
