Job summary

Purovets in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head Nurse to lead our nursing team in a busy veterinary practice. You will guide RVNs, students and VCAs, ensuring exceptional clinical care and patient service across day and night shifts.

We welcome a proactive leader with strong clinical knowledge and a passion for staff development. The role offers a 39-hour week on a rotating schedule, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• RVN qualification or equivalent veterinary nursing experience.
• Experience leading and developing a team of RVNs, students and VCAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead our nursing team to deliver exceptional clinical care and customer service.
• Support professional development of RVNs, students and VCAs.
• Oversee rota and shift patterns to maintain smooth operation and patient flow.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with a good level of clinical experience who is confident, self-motivated, engaging and keen to support the professional development of all our RVNs, students and VCAs.

The Rota:

39 hours a week

4 days a week, working

9-hour shifts

on rotation
