Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Head & Neck Speech & Language Therapist (Band 6 development). The role focuses on dysphagia and communication in Head and Neck Cancer, with opportunities to develop within a supportive MDT environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy with HCPC registration.
• Evidence of dysphagia training and/or dysphagia competencies.
• Experience or willingness to develop in Head and Neck Cancer (HANC).

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage adults with dysphagia and communication difficulties related to HANC.
• Develop and review evidence-based, person-centred treatment plans.
• Manage complex caseload and discharge planning with MDT input.
• Support students and junior staff and contribute to service development.
• Participate in CPD and maintain HCPC professional standards.
