Job summary

Swansea Bay University Health Board invites a Consultant Radiologist specializing in head and neck imaging to join 34 radiologists across Morriston, Singleton and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals. The post connects to Swansea Medical School and national imaging institutes, with teaching and research opportunities.

Newly established rapid diagnostic centre and on-site PET capability support high-volume oncology imaging. Strong MDT collaboration and weekend on-call sessions form part of the service.

Qualifications

• Evidence of effective working with staff at all levels
• Experience improving services with management/clinical colleagues
• Teaching and training of clinical staff
• Experience in research in Radiology
• Audit initiation, progression and completion

Responsibilities

• Participate in general on-call rota (1 in 17)
• Hot-reporting rota for urgent inpatient CT reporting
• Attend head and neck MDTs on a rota
• Head and neck interventional skills essential
• Access to ultrasound, fluoroscopy and CT guidance across three sites
• Weekend on-call session planning and possible changes to meet needs
