Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Nurse Specialist to deliver patient-centred care for individuals with head and neck cancer. You will act as patient advocate, support patients and families, provide education, clinical guidance and emotional support, and signpost to other services within a multidisciplinary team.

You will work closely with CNS, Dietitians, Speech and Language Therapists, Surgeons and Oncologists, participate in oncology clinics and MDT

Formación

• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Significant, relevant (post registration) experience in the head and neck specialities (2+ yrs)
• Ability to conduct nurse-led clinics
• Awareness of Quality Assurance/peer review processes
• Leadership in service improvement and projects
• Current registration and professional standards
• Willingness to pursue non-medical prescriber status if needed
• Experience in head and neck wound care and tracheostomy care

Responsabilidades

• Deliver expert, patient-centred care to individuals with head and neck cancer and related conditions
• Act as patient advocate and provide education, clinical guidance and emotional support
• Signpost to other services and work with the MDT for coordinated care
• Participate in oncology clinics, MDT meetings and wound care clinics
• Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects
• Identify specific care needs and provide information across the patient pathway
• Collaborate with skin cancer and maxillofacial teams on shared care where needed
