Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Cancer CNS specialist in Head and Neck cancer, with a proven Band 6+ background and strong leadership skills. The post requires operating across the Head and Neck team with a proactive approach to patient care.

The role focuses on management of altered airway patients, ensuring patient and carer independence, and working across Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a flexible, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Adult / Child Nurse on the NMC Register (Field dependent upon role)
• Post registration CPD / qualification in appropriate area of speciality with mentorship course
• Evidence of revalidation and ongoing professional development/competence

Responsibilities

• Support and progress Head and Neck cancer patients through investigation, diagnosis, treatment and impact.
• Contribute to education programmes, teaching, assessing and supervising junior staff.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and cross-agency partners to deliver care
