Job summary

Amica Care Trust is seeking a dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and ensure a clean, safe, welcoming and homely environment for residents, visitors and colleagues. The role includes line management, staff deployment, supervision, training and quality assurance, with collaboration across the Home Manager and leadership team to support regulatory compliance and resident experience.

Various shifts are available, including alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, domestic services or hospitality.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to high standards.
• Knowledge of hygiene, infection prevention, COSHH and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support housekeeping team to deliver high standards.
• Plan rotas and allocate duties for cleaning and laundry.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and infection prevention across the home.
• Oversee laundry and linen processes.
• Conduct checks, audits and improvements.
• Create a warm, welcoming environment respecting residents’ dignity.
