Job summary

The Willows Care Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and maintain high hygiene and presentation standards. This leadership role requires flexibility across 7 days and is contracted to 32 hours per week with a pay band of £13.85 to £14.20 per hour.

You will oversee cleaning of residents’ rooms and communal areas, manage supplies and train staff while ensuring infection control and health and safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and infection control.
• Ability to manage workload, priorities and team performance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the home.
• Lead and manage housekeeping team and supervise cleaning of rooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
• Coordinate daily operations and ensure tasks meet infection control, health and safety standards.
• Monitor quality, manage supplies and support training and development.
