Job summary

Hartford Care is seeking a dedicated Head Housekeeper for Burnham Lodge in Buckinghamshire. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with weekend alternation, focused on maintaining a clean, safe environment and high hygiene standards across the home.

You will lead and develop the housekeeping team, coordinate schedules, monitor infection control practices, and contribute to a warm, caring atmosphere for residents. Successful candidates are compassionate, well-organised and communicative.

Head Housekeeper

Full-time - 40 hours per week (includes alternate weekend working)

Location: Burnham Lodge - Burnham, Buckinghamshire (SL1 8NU)

The Role

As a Head Housekeeper, you will ensure the home is kept clean and safe at all times while meeting hygiene and cleanliness standards, supervise and manage team members, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere. Whether you are dusting a resident's room and reminiscing with them about their previous job, cleaning a bathroom, carrying out a direct observation on a member of staff, or completing an infection control audit, you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
