Job summary

Hartford Care at Malden House, Sidmouth (EX10 9LR) is seeking a Head Housekeeper for 32 hours per week, including alternate weekend work. You will lead the housekeeping team and ensure the home remains clean, safe and hygienic at all times, contributing to a warm, caring atmosphere.

You will supervise staff, coordinate schedules, uphold health and safety standards, and perform infection control audits with attention to detail and compassion.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a housekeeping team to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to use IT systems for reporting and scheduling.
• Commitment to health, safety and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic home.
• Coordinate workloads, monitor standards and provide hands-on support as needed.

The Role

As a Head Housekeeper, you will ensure the home is kept clean and safe at all times while meeting hygiene and cleanliness standards, supervise and manage team members, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are dusting a resident's room and reminiscing with them about their previous job, cleaning a bathroom, carrying out a direct observation on a member of staff, or completing an infection control audit, you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
