Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a Head Housekeeper for Malden House in Sidmouth. The role is 32 hours per week and includes alternate weekend working. You will lead the housekeeping team to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment, adhering to infection control and COSHH procedures while fostering a warm, caring atmosphere for residents.

You will supervise and develop staff, ensure standards are met, and collaborate with care teams to deliver excellent service in a compassionate setting.

Head Housekeeper

Location: Malden House - Sidmouth (EX10 9LR)

The Role

As a Head Housekeeper, you will ensure the home is kept clean and safe at all times while meeting hygiene and cleanliness standards, supervise and manage team members, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are dusting a resident's room and reminiscing with them about their previous job, cleaning a bathroom, carrying out a direct observation on a member of staff, or completing an infection control audit, you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
