Job summary

Foley Grange Care Home in Kidderminster is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and safety across the home. This is a key leadership role where standards and attention to detail directly impact daily life and Residents’ experience.

You will manage daily operations, supervise staff, monitor infection control standards and collaborate with other departments to provide a welcoming, well-organised environment for Residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and infection control.
• Ability to manage workload, priorities and team performance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing cleaning of residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to maintain high hygiene and presentation.
• Coordinate daily operations and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control and health-and-safety procedures.
• Monitor quality, manage supplies and provide training and leadership to the team to ensure a positive, high-performing environment.

About Foley Grange Care Home

Foley Grange Care Home is a care home located in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. Providing residential and residential dementia care, the home is a welcoming place where colleagues work together to make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day. • Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
• Hours are 08:00am - 15:00pm

Role Overview

As Head Housekeeper, you will take overall responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment is maintained at all times. This is a key leadership role where your standards and attention to detail will directly impact daily life and overall experience.
You will lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing the cleaning of residents’ rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will coordinate daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.
Working closely with other departments, you will ensure a well organised and responsive service. You will monitor quality, manage supplies and support your team through training, guidance and leadership, creating a positive and high performing environment.
