Charters Village, a tranquil retirement community, seeks a Head Gardener to lead and develop our garden spaces. You will plan, design, and maintain the grounds while supervising a team of gardeners and coordinating with other departments for outdoor events.

The role requires proven horticultural expertise, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to garden maintenance with a focus on resident-friendly spaces and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Gardener or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of horticulture and landscaping techniques.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Planning, designing, and maintaining the gardens and grounds of the retirement village
• Managing and supervising a team of gardeners
• Ensuring the gardens are well-maintained and presentable at all times
• Implementing seasonal planting and landscaping projects
• Coordinating with other departments to plan and execute outdoor events
• Managing the garden budget and maintaining inventory of gardening supplies
• Providing guidance and support to residents who have their own gardens within the village
