Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspiring leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development, driving restaurant performance, and achieving excellent results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes, and nurturing talent within your team.
  • Ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and team training.
  • Maintaining impeccable food, health, and safety standards, understanding financial aspects like gross profit, stock control, and labour costs.
  • Building a coaching culture, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development.
  • Problem-solving and making quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.

What we look for:

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a caring, supportive approach.
  • Experience maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Understanding of kitchen financials, including gross profit and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labour costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage teams.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
