Hello York!

Pearly Cow Restaurant & No.1 York, By GuestHouse are looking to recruit a superstar Head Chef to lead our herd (kitchen brigade) from the front, making us the go to foodie destination in York.

The Job

You'll get to help develop dishes for our seasonal menu. You get to help train your teams the way you see fit. You'll support in finding the best produce from the best suppliers around and use them to create dishes that inspire wonder and support our group vision, all whilst ensuring food safety standards are being upheld and costs being controlled.

You understand what British produce is all about, and love to present the most beautiful plates around. You'll also have a good understanding of the food scene in York.

You'll be a culinary artist with a palate sharper than your knives, passionate, professional, with just the right amount of perfectionism.

You understand how the kitchen works, from top to bottom. And most of all- you love your team- you know how to train, motivate and lead by example. You are hands on and love spending your time in the kitchen, not in front of a computer.
