Job summary

Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools are seeking a Head Chef to oversee the production of healthy, balanced meals for pupils, staff and visitors within budget. The role manages multiple dining rooms and a small kitchen team, reporting to the Senior Head Chef.

Qualifications

• At least NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Production plus Food Safety and Allergen Awareness.

Responsibilities

• Head Chef responsible for the successful production of healthy, balanced food to pupils, staff and visitors within budgetary levels.
• Oversees multiple dining rooms/outlets and some hospitality; manages Chefs, Kitchen Porters and Pot Wash on a day-to-day basis.
• Reports to the Senior Head Chef and supports development opportunities within a friendly environment.
