Job summary

BH Group in Cornwall is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of our 56-bedroom hotel, delivering vibrant Mediterranean-inspired small plates with seasonal ingredients.

As Head Chef you will work alongside our Executive Chef Stephane Delourme, own daily service, mentor your team and shape an unforgettable dining experience for every guest. Strong leadership and passion for fresh, seasonal food are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy hotel kitchen.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Passion for fresh seasonal Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Understanding of food cost control and kitchen profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen during breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
• Inspire, coach and develop a talented brigade.
• Deliver consistently outstanding Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
• Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Support seasonal menu development and new dish creation.
• Manage stock, food costs and minimise waste.
• Ensure the highest standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
• Work closely with front-of-house to create memorable guest experiences.
• Take full responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
