Job summary

Shockerwick House Care Home in Bath is seeking a Chef Manager to lead our fresh food kitchen. This permanent role is 40 hours a week on days with alternative weekends, offering a salary of £31,495 - £38,759 depending on experience plus a £2,000 annual bonus and a £1,000 Welcome bonus.

You will train and mentor the kitchen team, manage COSHH/HACCP paperwork, budgets and orders, and plan nutritious menus for residents.

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking and experience in a fresh food kitchen.
• Strong leadership to train and mentor the kitchen team.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards (COSHH/HACCP).

Responsibilities

• Create varied, nutritious menus aligned with residents' dietary needs.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to deliver excellent dining experiences.
• Maintain high standards and innovate in cooking.
• Handle paperwork including COSHH/HACCP, policies, budgets, orders and deliveries.
• Cater for events and seasonal activities as required.
