Job summary

McMullen & Sons Ltd is seeking a Head Chef for a busy kitchen in Marlow with live-in available. The role offers a competitive salary (£40k–£50k) with a bonus scheme and a 45-hour week, plus family-friendly policies and staff discounts.

You will lead the kitchen, ensure quality, train junior chefs, and maintain strict food safety standards in a Mediterranean-inspired dining environment. The ideal candidate will have proven Head Chef experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage food

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Head Chef in a busy kitchen is essential.
• Strong ability to cook and present dishes to specification.
• Experience with stocktaking and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations as Head Chef.
• Ensure dishes are cooked and presented to spec in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage stocktaking and stock control to meet budgets.
• Recruit, train and coach junior team members.
• Maintain high standards of food health and safety.
