Job summary

Mcmullen & Sons Ltd in Hertford is seeking a kitchen professional to deliver the food concept to a high standard and support the Head Chef in daily operations.

You will manage stock, order deliveries and monitor wastage while ensuring Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance in line with policy. Training the kitchen team and maintaining composure under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is essential.
• Willing to develop, take on responsibility and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the food concept to company standard and exceed guest expectations.
• Manage stock control including ordering, deliveries, stock taking and wastage control.
• Support the Head Chef and deputise in their absence.
• Train and develop the kitchen team to reach their potential.

  Previous experience of working within a busy kitchen is essential. You must be keen to develop, willing to take on responsibility and remain calm under pressure.
