Bowburn Manor, the newest luxury care home from St Mary's Care Group, is seeking a Head Chef to lead and shape the dining service from day one. You will create menus, manage a kitchen team and ensure meals delight residents while meeting high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or Chef Manager in a Luxury Care home Setting.
• Experience leading and developing catering teams.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, allergens and dietary requirements including IDDSI and fortified diets.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• NVQ Level 3 in Catering & Cookery
• Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification.
• Focussing on Nutrition course by Durham County Council

Responsibilities

• Deliver Outstanding Food Every Day by preparing nutritious, appetising meals from quality ingredients.
• Shape the Resident Dining Experience by understanding dietary needs and favourite meals.
• Lead a Successful Kitchen Team by recruiting, developing and inspiring staff.
• Maintain Exceptional Standards including HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety compliance.
• Manage Resources Effectively by controlling orders, stock and budgets.
• Foster a Positive Culture within the kitchen and motivate colleagues.
• Help Build Bowburn Manor's Reputation as a leading care home in the region.
