Job summary

Baxterstorey is seeking a Head Chef for a small site retail and hospitality setting in Hoddesdon. This permanent, full-time role runs Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm, offering a pathway to showcase leadership in a workplace dining environment.

The candidate will manage and mentor a kitchen team, uphold high food standards, and drive efficient kitchen operations while collaborating with clients and stakeholders in the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Chef or similar role
• Demonstrated ability to train and lead a team
• Strong budgeting and financial awareness
• Excellent coaching, delegation and influencing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, collaborate and support direct reports to deliver exceptional standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop the team through training and empowerment.
