Job summary

Maldron Hotel Liverpool, part of Dalata Hotel Group plc, is seeking a Head Chef to lead the hotel kitchen and drive outstanding food quality. You will shape menus, mentor the kitchen team and partner with events and operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences in Liverpool's city centre.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a kitchen team in a high-volume hotel or similar environment.
• Strong focus on quality, presentation and consistency of dishes.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day kitchen operations across all outlets.
• Develop and implement menu strategies reflecting guest preferences and seasonal produce.
• Coach and develop kitchen staff with regular feedback and training.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Oversee purchasing, stock control, supplier relations and budgeting.
• Collaborate with hotel teams to support conferences, events and banqueting.
• Manage costs, including food, labour and waste, while ensuring quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety and allergen management requirements.
• Plan rotas to resource kitchens according to demand.
• Work with management to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
