We’re seeking a skilled culinary leader ready to advance their career. In this role, you will shape the dining experience at Ye Olde Griffin Hotel, leveraging your expertise in fresh food and kitchen operations to foster a thriving, well-managed kitchen environment. You will also mentor and support your team’s development.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High standard of food knowledge and skill, with experience using fresh ingredients from scratch
• Proven leadership abilities, capable of motivating a team of ambitious chefs
• Up-to-date knowledge of COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, and relevant legal standards
• Willingness to develop personally and to advance the kitchen team at Ye Olde Griffin Hotel

Key Responsibilities:

• Hiring and onboarding new team members in an inclusive manner
• Leading, guiding, and developing the kitchen team with ongoing training and growth opportunities
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety, ensuring a safe and organized workspace
• Managing the kitchen schedule to optimize staffing and meet labor targets
• Conducting stock checks to control costs and meet performance goals
• Enhancing sales and growth by fostering strong relationships between kitchen and front-of-house teams
