Job summary

Runwood Homes Limited is seeking a Head Chef to lead our Hospitality team, delivering hotel and restaurant-standard meals without split shifts. You’ll create nutritious, flavourful menus, liaise with residents, and maintain high standards in a person-centred setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Secure understanding of special dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Intermediate/Advanced Food Hygiene certificate and HACCP knowledge.
• Responsible for ensuring documentation is completed.

Responsibilities

• Work within the agreed company budget.
• Ensure all kitchen staff are trained on dish specification and budget control.
• Manage the stock in the kitchen.
• Inspire and motivate the team to achieve food to specification and satisfaction for residents.
• Lead by example, setting the pace and standards.
• Meet monthly with management to ensure dietary requirements are met.
• Train and develop the team to deliver food to specification and exceed residents' expectations.
• Ensure all food is cooked to a safe temperature and taste tested before serving.
• Ensure storage of food meets health and safety requirements.
• Deliver kitchen standards as identified on audits.
• Implement and ensure Health and Safety policy is met and staff trained.
