Interaction Recruitment PLC is recruiting exclusively on behalf of an established hospitality & events venue in the Ely area, seeking an experienced, creative and enthusiastic Head Chef to lead its kitchen operations.

This role offers variety across dining experiences, from fine dining to large-scale events, with hands-on leadership and strong organisational skills to develop exciting menus while delivering high-quality food.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a senior kitchen role.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Experience in both fine dining and larger-scale events, functions or banqueting.
• Excellent menu planning and development with seasonal ingredients.
• Versatility to adapt between different styles of cooking and service.
• Commercial awareness including managing food costs, stock, ordering and budgets.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to plan ahead.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and motivate the kitchen team with a positive, organised environment.
• Design and develop creative, seasonal menus for diverse dining experiences and events.
• Oversee preparation and delivery of high-quality food with exceptional flavour and presentation.
• Manage kitchen operations across styles from fine dining to large-scale banqueting.
• Plan and coordinate kitchen activities around bookings and events calendar.
• Control stock, ordering and waste to manage food costs.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Collaborate with hospitality teams to deliver all services successfully.
• Lead by example with hands-on involvement during prep and service.
