Caring Homes Group Ltd is seeking a Head Chef for Mellish House in Great Cornard to lead the kitchen team and deliver high-quality meals for residents in a 48-bed dementia care home.

You will design seasonal menus, manage dietary requirements, and ensure food safety standards while creating a warm, home-like dining experience for residents and staff alike. The role offers a competitive salary and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• A creative flair for menu planning and recipe development.

Responsabilités

• Lead, support, and develop the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals.
• Plan and deliver engaging afternoon tea services weekly and a monthly Chef’s Table.
• Design and adapt seasonal menus to residents’ preferences and dietary needs.
• Demonstrate creativity in baking and cake decoration.
• Plate and present dishes to a fine dining standard.
• Engage with residents during service in a professional manner.
• Maintain high food safety, hygiene and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with wider teams to support events and individual dietary requirements.
