Sodexo is hiring a Head Chef at Swinton Barracks, Perham Down, Andover. You will lead a kitchen team, plan menus, maintain high food safety standards and deliver meals for military functions, with shifts typically 06:30–18:00 and 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation or an equivalent qualification.
• Basic Food Safety Certificate is required.
• Proven track record in the catering industry.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, allergens, health and safety.
• Good numerical skills and clear verbal/written communication.

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals that meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Lead by example, encouraging teamwork and supporting colleagues to develop their skills.
• Maintain excellent food safety, allergen management, hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Use Sodexo's online recipe, menu and ordering systems to support the kitchen.
• Support Pay as You Dine service with understanding of costs and profitability.
• Manage storage, stock rotation and portion control to reduce waste while maintaining quality.
• Complete temperature checks and food safety records accurately.
