Job summary

The Waterside Inn in Ware is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to support the brigade and maintain high standards of cooking and food knowledge. You will ensure COSHH, Food Safety and H&S compliance while coaching the team.

You will lead on prep, supervise during service, manage stock and drive improvements to deliver excellent dishes to guests in a warm, British hospitality setting along the River Lea.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team or senior kitchen role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for guests.
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and supplies management.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas to improve kitchen performance.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.

As a Kitchen Team Leader, do you have…

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team
• A high standard of food knowledge and skill
• An up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal knowledge
• A willingness to develop on a personal level whilst also helping propel the brigade forward at The Waterside Inn

Some of the things you will be doing as a Kitchen Team Leader
