Job summary

YES is a music‑led independent venue in Manchester. We are seeking a hands‑on Kitchen Manager to run the kitchen, keep standards high and lead a busy team, with a focus on pizza dough and bold menu ideas.

You’ll be in the thick of it during busy nights, shaping the food and atmosphere. The role offers a 45‑hour contract with opportunity to grow within the independent hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Confident leading a team during busy service.
• Energetic, hands‑on approach with a lively personality.
• Experience with pizza and dough handling.
• Passion for great food and adding a personal touch to the menu.
• Ability to keep operations smooth when the venue is packed.

Responsibilities

• Run the kitchen and keep standards high.
• Lead the kitchen team and ensure smooth service.
• Develop and shape the menu in YES style with input from the team.
• Oversee stock, prep and quality control during peak nights.

YES is a music-led independent venue in the heart of Manchester, serving street food inspired dishes that change with the trends. We're looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager who loves great food, busy nights and leading a team.

This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk job. You'll be in the thick of it - running the kitchen, keeping standards high, leading your team and making sure the food is as good as the atmosphere.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience as a Sous Chef, Head Chef, Kitchen Manager or similar
• Is confident leading a team in a busy kitchen
• Brings energy, personality and a genuinely hands-on approach
• Has experience with Pizza and handling dough
• Cares about great food and wants to put their own stamp on the menu
• Can keep things running smoothly when the venue is packed
