Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Head Chef at Unilever 100VE, London, to lead the kitchen team for workplace dining, hospitality and events. You will combine creativity with strong kitchen management to uphold high standards in food preparation, presentation, and service.

This role suits an experienced chef who enjoys developing a team, creating appealing menus, and delivering exceptional service during every service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team as Head Chef or senior role.
• Passion for fresh, well-presented food and excellent service.
• Ability to organise daily production alongside events requirements.
• Practical understanding of food safety and allergens.
• Confident in stock management and cost control.
• Clear communication and supportive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, delivering high-quality food.
• Plan menus for workplace dining, hospitality and events.
• Coach and organise the kitchen team to deliver efficient service.
• Manage ordering, stock rotation and food waste with cost control.
• Maintain food safety, allergen management and hygiene standards.
• Work with the site team to deliver successful events.

Location: Unilever 100VE, 100 Victoria Embankment, London, EC4Y 0DY

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, five days per week

Working pattern: 07:00-16:00, with overtime as required

Contract: Permanent, full time

This is an opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys developing a team, creating appealing menus and making every service count.

What you’ll do

• Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, delivering consistently high-quality food.
• Plan and deliver menus for workplace dining, hospitality and events.
• Support, coach and organise the kitchen team to deliver an efficient service.
• Manage ordering, stock rotation and food waste, keeping quality and cost control in focus.
• Maintain food safety, allergen management and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Work closely with the site team to understand requirements and deliver successful events.

What you bring

• Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or in a comparable senior culinary role.
• A passion for fresh, well-presented food and excellent service.
• The ability to organise daily food production alongside hospitality and event requirements.
• A practical understanding of food safety, allergens and kitchen health and safety.
• Confidence managing stock, food costs and waste.
• Clear communication skills and a supportive approach to team leadership.
