Salary package: from £52,500 up to £57,300 including Tronc (additional benefits below)

Role Overview:

The Head Chef works alongside the Executive Chef to manage and oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation, team performance, and compliance with safety and brand standards. This role combines leadership, creativity, and operational expertise to deliver exceptional dining experiences and support the growth and development of the culinary team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage food preparation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Develop and maintain recipes, ensuring accurate costings and standards adherence.
  • Implement guidelines and procedures for kitchen operations.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring of kitchen staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Maintain quality across all dishes.
  • Enforce food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Coordinate with hotel departments for seamless operations.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and budgets.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Culinary Arts Degree/Diploma and Food Safety Level 4 certification.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends.
  • Physical ability to move in kitchen environment.
  • Leadership experience in high-volume kitchens.
  • Innovative, responsible, and team-oriented leader.
  • Organized with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced changes.
  • Mentoring skills to foster team growth.
